What issues concerned you most in your area?
Anti social behaviour involving young people aged 10 to 18 years in the Greenwood Drive and Greenwood Avenue area.
From Midday until 10pm, Monday to Friday.

Main Road - Adults Congregating
What issues concerned you most in your area
Adults congregating upon Main Road, drinking alcohol and causing pedestrians to feel intimidated.
- Focused patrols with interpreters and convened meetings with Eastern European persons to explain the effects of them congregating on street and drinking ie. causing others to feel intimidated
- This engagement process of informing of the effects of their actions and asking them to amend their behaviour seems to have effectively managed the situation
- However, we will continue to pay attention to the area and if the problem returns, we will utilise legislation available to us to force the men away from the area
Mather Road - Crime & Anti Social Behaviour
What issues concerned you most in your area
Youths committing crime and causing anti-social behaviour in the Mather Road area, particularly around the shops.
- The area of Mather Road was a focused patrol area for the SNT, the Neighbourhood Police Group and the wider policing team, the Mounted Section
- We have targeted individuals, with seven individuals arrested
- Specifically, one youth has been imprisoned for racially aggravated assaulted and has been given an ASBO on conviction - which means that when he is released he is barred from returning to the Mather Road area, if he breaches, he is liable to arrest
Greenlands Estate - Crime & Anti Social Behaviour
What issues concerned you most in your area
Adults and youths committing crime and causing anti-social behaviour in and around the Greenlands estate, particularly smoking cannabis in the flats’ stairwells.
- 'Meet the Beat' was held on the 1 June 2011 and provided residents with the opportunity to speak with Officers and PCSOs from the Darnall and Tinsley Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) in relation to crime and anti-social behaviour. Residents were also provided with crime reduction advice and home security packs
- Enhanced patrols; this included patrols by both the SNT and Neighbourhood Policing Group, not just during the daytime, but throughout the night seven days a week
- Targeting of offenders
- Worked in partnership with Sheffield Futures to provide activities for young people.
The SNT is also planning:
- A week of action on the Greenland estate which will include an environmental clear up
- A second 'Meet the Beat' in 2011, building on the success of June's event
Greenlands Estate - Anti Social Behaviour/Low Level Crime
What issues concerned you most in your area
Youths congregating on stairwells and landings
From 1800hrs until Midnight
Increased foot patrol by officers on the Greenlands estate.
Stop and accounted individuals who had been identified as being involved in anti-social behaviour on stairwells and landings. Where appropriate individuals were searched.
Conducted vulnerable vehicle patrols. Letters were sent to the registered keeper of vehicles which had been identified at leaving items of value on display. Such items include bags, sat navs and mobile phones.
Update - February 2011
133 x individuals were stopped and asked to account for their behaviour on the Greenlands Estate
25 x individuals were stopped and searched
36 x vehicles were identified as being vulnerable
Daytime burglaries and suspicious activity on the Triangle Estate/Handsworth/Clifton areas
What issues concerned you most in your area
Unknown males acting suspicously on the Triangle estate and the Handsworth/Clifton areas. The males have been seen to be wandering around the estates, looking into gardens and parked vehicles.
This generally occurs between the hours of 1000hrs and 1800hrs.
Anti-social behaviour Staniforth Road
What issues concerned you most in your area
From early evening, until approximately midnight.
Police Officers and Police Community Support Officers increased patrols in the Staniforth Road area between the hours of 1600hrs and 0000hrs. Pro active patrols are aimed at deterring anti social behaviour and directing young people towards positive activities.
