We did: 
  • We pay the area extra attention with high visibility and covert patrols.
  • We are currently seeking intelligence in order to bring persons to justice. 
  • We carried out joint patrols with the environmental team to prosecute offenders.
  • We served warning letters on the owner of properties where nuisance tennants which are causing problems.
  • 2 Youths have been given Acceptable Behaviour contracts

What issues concerned you most in your area

You said: 

During the last Dearne PACT meeting held on Thursday 8th March 2012, members of the Bolton on Dearne community safety group raised issues regarding the continuing problems due to parking problems and allegations of speeding vehicles on Highgate Lane, near to Carrfield School

We did: 

We increased patrols around the problem times and issued vehicle warning notices.

We conducted a Smiley Sid Operation, which involved Children from the School asking speeding motorists to slow down.

We did: 
  • A focused operation has been undertaken.

Antisocial behaviour

what issues concerned you most in your area
You said: 

Antisocial behaviour in the Hampole Drive/Billingley View area of Thurnscoe

We did: 

A focused operation has been undertaken. The results were that 23 letters were sent to parents of youths spoken to. One person was arrested on a warrant. Numerous bottles of alcohol were seized and destroyed.

A dome camera has now been installed in order to capture images of anti-social behaviour. Any evidence will be robustly followed up and immediate action taken against offenders.

Antisocial behaviour at St Andrew's Square, Bolton on Dearne

We did: 

We have conducted high visibility patrols with our Police Community Support Officers. We have arranged for benches surrounding the Dearne Hotel to be removed which we recognised was a magnet for the assembly of numerous youths.  Our response teams are aware of the concerns and pay passing attention throughout the day and night.
