We did: 

13/05/2011 stopped local male who was under 18 with an amount of alcohol in his possession. Local off licenses checked and it was found an adult had purchased alcohol for the youth. SNT carring out enquires.

We will make the off licenses in our locality a particular focus for the next month and will work with them during this time.

PACT priority - Anti-social behaviour in Kendray

what issues concerned you most in your area

You said: 

At the PACT meeting on 14th October, various types of anti-social behaviour being displayed in Kendray, specifically on Gerald Road, Reginald Road, Birch Road, Don Drive, Calder Crescent and Neville Avenue.  This was reviewed at the PACT meetings on 11th November and then on 9th December and it was agreed to retain this priority for a further 4 weeks.

PACT priority - Anti-social behaviour in Stairfoot.

what issues concerned you most in your area

You said: 

At a PACT meeting on 11th November 2010 the subject of anti-social behaviour in the Ardsley and Stairfoot areas was raised and this was set as a priority for our team.  This was reviewed at the PACT meeting on 9th December 2010 and it was agreed that this priority would remain in place for a further 4 weeks.

We did: 

We have been investigating a public order incident that took place in Stairfoot.  This has now involved the arrest of five suspected offenders from the Ardsley area.  One has admitted an offence and been dealt with for that.

We have executed a search warrant in the Stairfoot area, just off the defined PACT area.  A quantity of cannabis was recovered.

PACT priority: Antisocial behaviour in Worsbrough Recreation Ground and other named streets

what issues concerned you most in your area

You said: 

Antisocial behaviour in Worsbrough Recreation Ground (being the park between Park Road and Blackburn Lane), Lobwood, Lobwood Lane and Berrydale.

We did: 

We have been patrolling this area regularly and on the 23rd of September came across a young woman who was writing graffiti in Worsbrough Recreation Ground.  She and another youth were arrested for this.  The woman was convicted of criminal damage and ordered to pay compensation to the council and the other was eligible for a caution having admitted her involvement.

PACT priority - Crime and anti-social behaviour in the Aldham House Area, Wombwell

You said: 

Crime and antisocial behaviour on Roy Kilner Road, Aldham House Lane, Pearson Crescent, Neville Court, Neville Close and Richardson Walk.  This was decided at the PACT meeting on the 14th of October 2010 at Kendray Community Centre.

PACT priority - Nuisance motorcycles on the trans-pennine trail

what issues concerned you most in your area

You said: 

At the PACT meeting of the 22 July, it was reported that the number of nuisance motorbikes being encountered on the Trans Pennine Trail in the Worsbrough Bridge and Dale areas was giving cause for concern.

We did: 

26 July 2010 - SNT pushbike patrols were carried out along the TPT throughout the day, no motorbikes seen nor heard.  However, an item of stolen property from a burglary was found and recovered for further enquiries.

27 July 2010 - SNT pushbike patrols were carried out along the TPT throughout the day, no motorbikes seen nor heard.

29 July 2010 - SNT pushbike patrols were carried out along the TPT during the day, no motorbikes seen nor heard.  

3 Aug 2010 - Evening patrols carried out from Worsbrough Bridge to Wombwell.  No motorbikes seen, heard nor reported. 

4 August 2010 - Joint pushbike patrols on the TPT took place by Kendray SNT and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.  Patrols were carried out along the stretch of the TPT from the Edmunds Rd area at Worsbrough Bridge, past Wombwell to McDonalds at Stairfoot, and then to the old Barnsley colliery site along the pit stacks to Kendray, finishing on Doncaster Road by Ted Johnson's garage.  There were no motorbikes seen or heard, nor any reports received from members of the public who were spoken to during the patrols.

5 August 2010 - Foot patrol was carried out on Thursday evening along the stretch of the Trans pennine trail from Wombwell through to McDonalds at Stairfoot.  During this time, no motorbikes were seen or heard, nor any reports received from members of the public who were spoken to on the trail.      

PACT Priority - ASB and Crime in Worsbrough Bridge - Eastfields, Westfields, Ashover Close and George Street

what issues concerned you most in your area

You said: 

There has been an increase in the number of incidents of crime and antisocial behaviour, particularly on the following streets: Westfields, Eastfields, Ashover Close, and George Street in Worsbrough Bridge. This has been raised by elected members in the area following concerns raised to them by local residents. This was analysed using the Crime and Incident mapping system, which showed that a 'hotspot' involving a variety of incidents had emerged. This was discussed at the PACT meeting on 24th June and a decision was made to make this area a PACT Priority.

We did: 

Ten children from the Edmunds Primary School worked with the council's Community Safety Wardens on Friday 2nd July 2010 for 2 hours to carry out a litter-pick in the area of this PACT priority.  Four bin-liners were filled with rubbish off the streets.  The children also saw a graffiti-removal machine in action.    

PACT Priority - Nuisance Youths Hansons Brick Works, Stairfoot.

You said: 

Nuisance youths in and around Hansons Brickworks, Wombwell Lane, Stairfoot and the old brick works quarry which backs onto St Pauls Parade, Ardsley.

We did: 

Numerous patrols have been carried out by SNT, response and fire service officers, however no offences have been seen. Residents reported at the PACT Meeting on 24th June 2010 that the area had been very quiet. A decision was therefore made to discharge this as a PACT Priority.

You said: 

Nuisance Youths in Ardsley.

We did: 

Numerous patrols have been carried out by SNT and Response officers. Six stop and search procedures have been carried out on youths, however no offences were disclosed. The Children and Young Peoples Officer covering the Foulstone School in Darfield has been working with a group of young people who were involved in a fight during May which affected the Ardsley area. There have been no problems reported since. A decision was taken at the PACT meeting held on 24th June to discharge this as a PACT Priority area.
