You said: 

at the most recent pact meeting held on wednesday 25th May 2011, the representatives of the wombwell and darfield community raised concerns with regards to problems on lundhill playing fields off lundhill road, wombwell. this had been a previous pact priority in relation to youths underage drinking and leaving their litter behind. it was agreed that the snt should continue with this priority another month as there had been further incidents.

fridays and saturday eveings between 17.00 hours and 23.00 hours

We did: 

12 letters sent to the parents of youths found in possesion of alcohol and under age drinking

£30 of alcohol seized from several groups of youths

1 male warned for riding his quad bike on the field

neighbourhood pride have cleared the litter from the field and will continue to monitor the site

Park Hill Brick Ponds, Wombwell - Criminal Damage and Anti-social Behaviour

what issues concerned you most in your area

You said: 

at the most recent pact meeting held on wednesday 25th May 2011, the representatives of the wombwell & darfield community raised concerns with regards to problems at the area known as the Park Hill Brick Ponds, formerly the Park Hill Brick Works. This area has been regenerated over the last 20 years or so and is now part of the Wetland Nature Reserve. The Park Hill site still has the remains of the Brick Kilns, which over look the nature reserve. These kilns are now under attack by vandals (picture attached). A wall had been damage and the kilns entered. Concern was raised for the preservation of the site and the daangers to young people who are using the site as a play ground.

We did: 

the bmbc parks department is currently attempting to make repairs to the damaged area to prevent access to the kilns

the snt has patrolled the area during the evenings

the parents of 4 youths have been sent letters, following an incident where they were found playing in the damaged area

Maran Avenue, Darfield - Neighbour nuisance & Anti-social Behaviour

You said: 

at the most recent pact meeting held on wednesday 27th april 2011, the representatives of the darfield community raised concerns with regards to problems on marran avenue, darfield. there had been an increase in neighbour, youth and vehicle related nuisance, which was now affecting the qulity of life of other residents.

marran avenue is located off doncaster road, via cliffe road, darfield.

at the most recent pact meeting held on wednesday 28th april 2011, representatives from the community raised concern over recent problems caused by vehicles being driven at excessive speed within the darfield area, particularly in the areas of nanny mar road, snapehill road and billingley village.

You said: 

at the most recent pact meeting held on wednesday 27th April 2011, representatives from the community raised concern over recent problems caused by young people gathering on the playing fields off Lundhill Road, Wombwell. There have been several recent incidents where youths have been drinking alcohol and leaving there litter on the playing areas, which has included broken glass.

the playing fields are accesable from Lundhill Road, Wombwell

offences are committed mainly at weekends and during the evening period, between 17.00 hrs - 23.00 hours

We did: 

already officers have increased patrols within the recreational area.

6 anti-social behaviour letters have been sent out to parents of children found in possesion of alcohol, whilst on the playing fields during the evening of friday 8th april 2011. the alcohol, was poured away and containers disposed of responsibly.

the local authority have being asked to examine the field and remove any litter\glass from the playing area

Margaret Close & Margaret Road, Darfield - Youth related nuisance

You said: 

at the most recent pact meeting held on wednesday 30th march 2011, representatives from the community raised concern over recent problems caused by young people gathering in the margaret close and margaret road areas of darfield. the estate has historically suffered from youth nuisance. recent incidents concerned young people gathering and intimidating residents. there has also been a vehicle and property damage caused in the area by missiles being thrown.

at the most recent pact meeting held on wednesday 30th march 2011, the representatives of the darfield community raised concerns with regards to problems on marran avenue, darfield. there had been an increase in neighbour, youth and vehicle related nuisance, which was now affecting the qulity of life of other residents.

a majority of the incidents have occurred during the evening between the hours of 19.00 - 01.00 hrs on no specific day.

We did: 

regular preventative patrols are being made in the area

one moped rider was warned with regards to the use of their vehicle

combined partnership action is to be taken against neighbours which are causing harrassment distress or alarm to other residents

Wombwell Park - Youth nuisance, underage drinking and criminal damage

what issues concerned you most in your area

You said: 

during the pact meeting held on wednesday 30th march 2011, the community raised concerns over the recent problems in wombwell park, with youth nuisance and criminal damage. the park pavilion had been attacked and damage caused to the buildings exterior. there had also been damage caused to a number of recently planted shrubs and a bin had been pushed over.

At the PACT meeting held on the 23rd February 2011, the new housing estate on the site fo the Old Foundry, Wombwell were identified as an area suffering from anti-social behaviour and general youth nuisance in relation to noise, playing football near cars, and garden hopping.
