We asked:

At the P.A.C.T. meeting in June 2010,what issues concerned you most in your area

The PACT (Partners And Communities Together) meeting for your area is held on the first Tuesday of the month from 6pm to 7pm at Oxspring Bank Community Centre, Oxspring Bank.  This is your chance to meet members of your local safer neighbourhood team and discuss issues that concern you about the area in which you live, and be a part of the tasking process for both the Police, and our partners who are also invited to the meeting to discuss issues that may not be a Policing matter.

What if I can’t attend a PACT meeting?

You can still get involved! Open the GET IN TOUCH section, which is situated on YOUR AREA site and e-mail your team with detail of what you want them to know. They will then keep you updated about what they are planning to do about it.

Since this Priority was set the activities so far include.

Officers have executed a number of warrants on addresses within the area, and from each address quantities of drugs & stolen property have been recovered. Enquiries are on-going in relation to the occupants.

From Wednesday 23/06/10 to Wednesday 30/06/10, Police officers & PCSO's conducted foot patrols in the area, disrupting activities by locals in the area. No incidents of note reported.

SYP in conjunction with Sheffield Homes have also arranged for the communal entrance to a block of flats to be fixed. The block in question had been targetted by nominals causing ASB.

On the 28/06/10 officers attended on Dryden Way following a call from a member of the public in relation to drug dealing. As a result of this call officers stopped a male on Dryden Way and following a search he was found to be in possession of cannibis. The male was issued with a street caution for cannibis.
