what issues concerned you most in your area
The PACT (Partners And Communities Together) meeting for your area is held on the first Tuesday of the month from 6pm to 7pm at Oxspring Bank Community Centre, Oxspring Bank. This is your chance to meet members of your local safer neighbourhood team and discuss issues that concern you about the area in which you live, and be a part of the tasking process for both the Police, and our partners who are also invited to the meeting to discuss issues that may not be a Policing matter.
What if I can’t attend a PACT meeting?
You can still get involved! Open the GET IN TOUCH section, which is situated on YOUR AREA site and e-mail your team with detail of what you want them to know. They will then keep you updated about what they are planning to do about it. You can also follow the SNA on Facebook - Ecclesfield Safer Neighbourhood Team or follow us on Twitter.com - @SgtHammond.
Anti Social Behaviour in the Four Greens Area of Longley
Local officers attend the Longley tenants and residents association (TARA) meeting where residents get the chance to discuss local issues.
Officers from the SNA also hold a Police Surgery aimed at finding out local issues and providing reassurance for members of the public.
Officers set up a No Cold Calling Zone (NCCZ) on Crowder Road and Hereward Rd, Longley. The NCCZ's are designed to combat bogus officials and unwanted door step callers.
Local officers have spoken and taken details from 31 people in the local area involved in anti-social behaviour, some of which have been dealt with by parent advisory letters (PAL letters).
OP ANNUAL is an operation around the Longley area to prevent ASB behaviour and crime reduction through high visibility and plain cloth patrols, local PCSO's have also spoken to local residents and conducted surveys to get peoples opinions on what issues concern them in their area.
Also, local PCSO's whilst on high visibilty foot patrols within the local area have found on average 106 vehicles which were left with items on display making them vulnerable to be broken into. Letters sent out to vehicle owners making them aware of this.
