Anti-Social Behaviour in and around Grenoside Park Fridays and Saturdays between 6pm and 2am.
From 6pm to 2am (weekends)
Both Police officers & PCSOs have completed a large amount of high visibility patrols in your area, taking a robust approach to anyone who appears likely to become engaged in any sort of anti-social behaviour. At the November PACT meeting, it was raised by members of the public that youths were gathering on the football pitch at the rear of Blacksmith Lane. Officers conducting patrols in the area during evening times have not found any youths using the football pitch in the period since the PACT meeting. There have not been any calls made to police in relation to this being an issue since that November meeting.
Police officers are still gathering evidence regarding reports of nuisance motorcycles in the area. A quad bike and off road motorcycle have also been seized, with the rider having fled from officers. Regular operations are, and will be, run in order to tackle this issue.
Following a report from a member of the public, officers attended the nursery in Grenoside Park in relation to a group of youths that had been seen acting suspiciously around the building. 2 youths were stopped, details were taken and they were advised and moved on. No offences were disclosed at the time.
Local officers have spoken and taken details from 8 people in the local area involved in anti-social behaviour, some of which have been dealt with by parent advisory letters (PAL letters).
