Anti Social Behaviour in Middlewood Road (From Hillsborough Corner to the junction of Dykeshall Road)
**Last Months Activity**
( Previous PACT Objective - Anti Social Behaviour/ Underage drinking in Rural Lane)
**Increased Patrol Activity in PACT areas**
As part of our commitment to the 'Policing Pledge' we are keen to engage with communities and focus our activities on issues relevant to them. Nine priorities have been identified as important to the the community. We have increased Police Patrols, resulting in an extra 127 police visits to the areas identified. This is on top of 'normal' police patrol activity and should see a noticable increase in police visibility.
**Male arrested for damage with assistance of police helicopter**
During the late evening of Monday the 16th of March 2009 officers were called to the Hillsborough area after a male was seen to damage a motor vehicle. The Force Helicopter was alerted and with their assistance a suspect was located making his way from the scene. This male was arrested and subsequently charged with an offence of Criminal Damage. Anti Social Behaviour and Criminal Damage are of serious concern to the Public and South Yorkshire Police. We treat your calls seriously and will take positive action against those committing such offences.
**Anti Social Behaviour Operation Conducted in Wisewood/Rodney Hill/ Aldene Road**
A concerted operation was conducted to tackle these issues, involving local Police and Community Support Officers. Mounted Police Officers were also involved and provided a highly visible and supportive police presence in the community. This has ran throughout February and resulted in a noticeable reduction in incidents of Anti Social behaviour. We are determined to make you feel safe and secure in your community.
