Anti-Social behaviour on Atterby Park and Atterby Drive
9th April - A member of the public called to report youths and children as young as 12 or 13 causing a disturbance as they went to and from the park behind Atterby Drive. The area was visited and the park searched but no youths were present.
14th April - PCSOs patrolling Atterby Park find a group of 12 young males. There was a distinct smell of cannabis and so PCs arrived and searched the males. Evidence of recent drug use was discovered and drug paraphernalia was found but no drugs were present. Eaach male was advised to leave the area and to do so quietly so as to not disturb the residents.
11th May - Patrols conducted in the park by officers on pedal cycles, a small group of youths were spoken to, the youths were informed about the new priority, there were no issues.
12th May - Several patrols were conducted in the area, in one incident a youth was witnessed to be abusive to a member of the public. This youth will be subject to a referral to DMBC's ABC+ team. 2 further youths were also stopped, and as a result of their behaviour referred to the ABC+ team.
16th May - Several patrols conducted of area, a group of youths were spoken to about the behaviour. As a result 3 refferals have been sent to the ABC+ team.
18th May - Letter drop in the area, highlighting the issue to local residents.
19th May - 2 males have been referred to DMBC's ABC+ team following them causing a problem in the morning
29th May - 2.45pm, following a report from a concerned member of the public about a group of young adults walking onto the park with a quantity of alcohol. Officers attended, and discovered that the young adults were actually attending a party in a garden off Toad Hole Lane. There were therefore no issues.
29th May - 9pm, Officers attended at the park as part of a routine patrol. 3 to 4 young teeangers were using the park at that time for genuine reasons.
1st June - 2.50pm, a male was referred to DMBC's ABC+ team having been seen riding his pedal cycle in an erratic and dangerous manner.
2nd June - 2pm, a male has been reported on summons to Doncaster Magistrates Court for having no insurance and no driving licence, following a report from a member of the public, that the male had been causing a nuisance riding around the local area, on an off road motorcycle.
2nd June - 2.12pm, A patrol was conducted in the park by PCSO Saywell and CSW Smeaton-Smith. At that time there were only two families with small children present. However, the pair did identify 5 vehicles parked nearby which had items on display. The registered keepers of the vehicles will be sent a letter, advising them that by leaving items on display, they are increasing the risk of their cars being broken into, and the items stolen.
3rd June 14:20. A patrol of the Atterby drive area found no youths on the park area. But again identiyed another 4 vehicles with either windows left open or items left on display.
3rd June 2000hrs. Another patrol around the Atterby Drive area and park. No nuisance youths or problems reported. Spoke to a local resident who commented on how quiet it had been recently.
8th June – Retained as PACT priority at meeting at Brodsworth Pavillion.
9th June - Partol by PCSO and PC on bikes at around 1700hrs. Some young children playing on the park but there were no issues with noise at all.
13th June - Another patrol around the Atterby Drive area and park. No nuisance youths or problems reported
15th June - A patrol of the Atterby drive area found no youths on the park area. But identiyed 3 vehicles with either windows left open or items left on display.
21st June - Partol by PCSOs on bikes at around 2030. No one using park at time checked.
26th June - 2pm Park patrolled by officers in plain clothes on mountain bikes. No one present at the park at that time.
26th June - 2230, Officers conducted patrols of the park regarding an unrelated matter, a missing person from the Bessacarr area. There were no youths present at the park at that time.
27th June - 0115 - Plain clothes officers conducted a patrol in the park and Toad Hole Lane, no persons were present at this time.
28th June - 1410- PCSO's attended Aisby Drive where a burglary had occured on the 24th of June, whilst there PCSO's checked the park area and there was no body there.
30th June - Afternoon patrol at the park. No youths present. Workmen were in the process of erecting new fencing at the entrance to the park.
1st July - 2135hrs - DMBC NRT patrolled the park. No one on at the time.
1st July - 9.45pm - Mountain bike patrol in the park, only an adult walking two dogs.
2nd July - 2033hrs - DMBC NRT patrolled the park. No one on at the time.
11th July - Signed off as a local priority at PACT meeting
