Anti-social behaviour taking place in the locality, ongoing problems with nuisance behaviour.

We did: 

Prior to the PACT/Area Assembly meeting taking place on Monday 7th June 2010, a number of incidents had been reported through to the Police around incidents of anti-social behaviour.

Representation at the New Laughton Common TARA was made by residents on Sanders Way expressing concerns regarding behaviour on the estate.

Adopted as Priority on Monday 7th June 2010.

w/c 7th June 2010 - regular patrols carried out by SNT staff, PC Moxon has liased with the New Laughton Common TARA and Acis Housing to discuss issues being reported.

w/c 14th June 2010 - regular patrols carried out by SNT staff, no incidents of note.

14th June 2010 - Crime and Safety Walkabout around Laughton Common, partiuclarly the propsed new play area at the end of Meadow Street and the associated turning circle at the end of Meadow Street.

Incident reported on 19.06.10 relating to a male riding on a moped and drinking in the garden.

w/c 21st June 2010 - Regular patrols carried out during the week by the SNT staff.

w/c 28th June 2010 - Email received from local residents concerning an incident that had taken place on 26/06/10 involving anti-social behaviour and minor public order offences.

28th June - Officers attended New Laughton TARA and liased with residents and members of the TARA.  Discussions took place around the issues raised by local residents and representatives from Acis Housing were present and explained how their evidence gathering methods were important if any outcome is to arise from complaints made.

PACT - 5th July 2010 - Priority area to continue.

w/c 5th July 2010 - call received from resident to advise group of youths playing on the building site area, PCSO's attended and gave passing attention.

Regular patrols have been carried out in this area, small groups of youths have been spoken to.  Several of the youths have started to gather on the old playpark at the end of Meadow Street.

Liased with Councillor Hindley regarding future plans for the development of the play area at the end of Meadow Street/Sanders Way, copy of plans provided for SNT information.

PACT 5th August 2010 - remain a priority

Patrols carried out by PCSO's and Police Officers in the area, engaged with group of youths playing on the estate who all live in the locality.  No issues raised.

18th August - Call received to reports of suspicious activity on unfinished properties at the end of Sanders Way,  Officers attended and checked the area, small group located in nearby wooded area, advised and moved on.  No offences.

Theft of windows reported via Persimmons on an unfinished dwelling off Sanders Way.

Regular patrols carried out by PCSO's, engaged with local youths who live on the estate.  No issues reported.

w/c 31st August 2010 - Patrols carried out during this period, all in order.  Tri-Signs deployed in area for Op Outlaw (Vulnerable Properties and Vehicles)

ACIS housing have recently served a resident of Sanders Way with a final tenancy warning notice. Any further reports of anti-social behaviour from the address in question will lead to immediate legal proceeding by the housing association with a view to evicting the tenant.

At the PACT meeting held on 6.9.10 it was agreed that problems in this area had all but ceased and that the priority could be discharged as complete and successful.
