what issues concerned you most in your area
Young people are crossing from Woodhouse and Handsworth and are gathering to drink on the play area and recreation ground opposite St James Walk. They are creating noise nuisance and disturbance into the early hours of the morning.
Late evening and early hours of the morning - up to 2.00am
Action Plan
- PC 3163 Louise Neal will have primary responsibility for managing our reponse to this priority problem
- We will write to all residents on St James Walk advising them how to report problems and exchange information to assist in tackling this problem.
- We will provide regular, high visibility patrols in the area at key times
- We will liaise with police colleagues in the Woodhouse and Handsworth area in an attempt to co-ordinate activity so that young people are not constantly displaced from one area, only to cause problems in another
- We will seize alcohol from underage drinkers and we will enforce licensing laws at local off-licence outlets

02/08/10 A letter drop was conducted to all surrounding properties explaining that this area is now a PACT area. Mobile patrols in ASB car all quiet no youths on the park
03/08/2010 High visibility patrols in ASB car, no problems encountered and no reports.
04/08/2010: Mobile Anti-social behaviour patrols conducted throughout the evening, no problems arose and nothing reported.

15/08/2010 PC's 3163 and 1344 patrolled Orgreave park, St James walk and surrounding area for nuisance youths or any anti social behaviour. No incidents to note, but will monitor daily.
15/08/2010 PCSO's 8305 and 8310 removed 3 youths from the play area on Orgreave Park and advised accordingly at 21.00 hours.
PC Neal has liaised with Woodhouse SNT in Sheffield and there have assurred us that they will monitor the activity when their officers are out on patrol. They said they would update us if they come accross any anti social behaviour.
16/08/2010 ASB high visibility patrols during the evening did not encounter any problems or youths on the play area.
17/08/2010 ASB high visibility patrols during the evening. No reports called in. Approx 5 males were on the football area at approx 20.50 hours. However, they were playing football, not causing any nuisance and were not being rowdy.
18/08/2010 ASB high visibility patrols during the evening. No youths were observed on the play area and no reports were called in.

26/08/2010 PC's 3163 and 1344 patrolled the park area and only saw a few children playing. No problems at this time. I continue to liase with colleagues at Woodhouse who are also monitoring the situation.
PCSO's 8125 & 8310 patrolled the area on numerous occasions throughout the evening - no problems.
31/8/2010 Patrolled the area throughout the evening whilst carrying out anti-social behaviour patrols. No incidents arose, no incidents reported to us.
