At the PACT meeting on Monday 5th September 2011 at Ulley Village Hall you said that you were concerned about the number of vehicle thefts and damage to motor vehicles during the last month in Treeton Village.

Problem Solving Plan:

PC Louise Neal and PCSOs Julie Jackson and Suzanne Ellis will have responsibility for carrying out the following actions and for providing regular updates.

  • To provide regular patrols in the area.
  • To make contact with the Road Policing Group (Traffic) to ask them to also make patrols.
  • To make all Police Officers and PCSOs in Rotherham aware of recent incidents and to request additional patrols are made.
  • Details of how to contact the local Safer Neighbourhood Team will be distributed to residents by leaving at key locations and using key contacts.
  • PCSOs to make reassurance contact with all victims of vehicle crime within the village of Treeton.
  • To make contact with and task local Neighbourhood Watch Coordinators to watch out for suspicious activity and to promote crime prevention messages.
  • To reinforce to local residents that Treeton is in a low crime area and that the incidents of crime within Rotherham continues to fall.

06/09/2011: Regular patrols throughout the evening. No issues to report. Foot patrols conducted throughout the day.

07/09/2011:  Regular foot and mobile patrols throughout the day and evening.  No issues.  Reassurance visits carried out and spoken to members of public in the area.

14/09/11 - STOLEN moped recovered on Station Road, Treeton - 1 Detained

19/09/2011 - Foot patrol conducted in and around the village during the day and ASB car patrolled the area in the evening. No incidents reported and nothing seen of note.

20/09/2011 - Regular patrols conducted throughout the shift. No incidents reported and nothing seen of note.

22/09/2011 - Foot patrol conducted through the day and high visibility patrols througout the evening whilst conducting the ASB car. Nothing reported to us, no incidents of note.

23/09/2011 - Foot patrol conducted in and around the village during the day and ASB car patrolled the area in the evening. No incidents reported and nothing seen of note.

- This past week has seen contact details passed out to local businesses and organisations. PCSO 8125 has made contact with local neighbourhood watch co-ordinator Andrew Dunkley and asked him to watch out for suspicious vehicles in the area and to promote positive service messages. Many reassurance visits have been conducted to victims of crime and surrounding households passing crime prevention liturature and ultra violet markers for property marking. Many patrols both by foot and vehicle have taken place within the village and home owners have been advised about property that has been left vulnerable or insecure, this is within Operation Outlaw. SNT officers are available to speak to most Thursday mornings at Treeton Housing surgery 10-11.30am in Treeton Reading Rooms. A private room can be provided on request if you wish to speak to us in private.

Since the last PACT meeting on Monday 5th September 2011: 

Patrols have been made by the Safer Neighbourhood Team.

A  request was made to all Rotherham officers to patrol the village and to be especially vigilant for auto crime offences.

Since the last PACT meeting  there have been no further reports of theft of or damage to motor vehicles within Treeton recorded. 

 

At the PACT meeting on Monday 10th October 2011 at Aston Parish Hall, this priority was discharged.
