At the PACT meeting on Monday 5th September 2011 at Ulley Village Hall you said you were concerned about  thefts from local farms and vehicle crime.

Problem Solving Plan:

 

PCs Dan Whelbourn and Paul Oldale and PCSOs Clare Ahern and Sarah Smith will have responsibility for carrying out the following actions and for providing regular updates.

 

  • To provide regular patrols in the area.
  • Roads around Ulley Country Park and surrounds to be patrolled for parking issues.
  • To make contact with the Road Policing Group (Traffic) to request patrols in the village.
  • To ask all Police Officers and PCSOs in Rotherham to make additional patrols in the village.
  • Details of how to contact the Local Safer Neighbourhood Team to be distributed to residents by leaving at key locations and using key contacts (already started at the PACT meeting).
  • To make contact with and task local Neighbourhood Watch Coordinators to watch out for suspicious activity and to promote crime prevention messages.
  • To explore the possibility of promoting Rural/Farm Watch in the village.
  • MOCAM to be checked for any lines of enquiry if there are any further incidents.
  • To reinforce to local residents that Ulley Village is in a low crime area and that the incidence of crime within Rotherham continues to fall.

19/09/2011 - Hi visibility patrols throughout the evening in Ulley Village and the area surrounding Ulley Country park. No incidents of note.

 

20/09/2011 - ASB car conducted and patrols through the village and around the reservoir completed. Nothing suspicious seen and no incidents reported to us.

 

22/09/2011 - Regular patrols throughout the shifts. Nothing seen and nothing reported for us to attend.

 

23/09/2011 - Many patrols were conducted throughout the shift and surrounding area. Nothing reported and no incidients seen.

Following the last PACT meeting  on 5th September 2011 regular patrols have been made through the village by the Safer Neighbourhood Team including the surrounding area and roads.

A  request was made to all Rotherham officers to patrol the village during any down time or to travel through the village when going from Aughton/Aston to Thurcroft etc.

Since the last PACT meeting there has been one report of damage to an out building and a fence at Ulley Country Park,  one report of anti social behaviour on Reservoir Road and another report of anti social behaviour on Pleasely Road, outside the country park recorded.

At the PACT meeting on Monday 10th October 2011 at Aston Parish Hall, this priority was discharged.
