what issues concerned you most in your area
during the last wombwell and darfield PACT meeting, members of the wombwell community raised concerns regarding the increase in ASB committed by young people within the wombwell area. the main areas of concern were summer lance, barnsley road and main street.
hot times for problems were described as most evenings but mainly at weekends, during the period of 18.00 hrs - 23.00 hrs
1. the snt has increased patrols within the area, concentrating its presence within areas where youths have been gathering and causing problems
2. officers from kendray snt have been sucesful in targetting the same group at aldham house fields, alcohol has been confiscated and letters sent to parents of those involved. they have also been asked to attend bcap alcohol awareness workshops.
